Tucked into the front side of the band I have made a bookmark for the recipient to keep! Questions? Shoot me an email. I will be glad to help. Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Cards and Memory Books
Seems early to be making Christmas cards but the season is rapidly approaching. I hope you and yours have a wonderful, happy, family filled Thanksgiving. I know I have many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. I am posting a mixed bundle of cards and journals that I mailed off this morning to Texas. A friend of mine carries my cards in her shop on the square in Decatur, Texas named Memory Lane Antiques and Gifts. If you're ever on the square you should stop by for a visit.
I recently won a contest and want to give credit to the two groups who made that possible. One is http://todayscreativeblog.net and the other is www.scrapbooking-for-less.com/. I received my $50.00 box of goodies and have enjoyed using them to make the cards pictured below. I follow Today's Creative Blog on Twitter and I have shopped at scrapbooking-for-less, their prices are great. Check them out when you get a minute.
I have started my December Daily Journal foundation. I cannot wait to start assembling the pages and adding embellishments. I love www.shopellesstudio.com /products. Their numbers and journaling tags are great. They have great calendar stuff, also.
Thanks for stopping by.....hope to see you back soon.

Digging for Treasure
I wanted to show you one of the uses I have found for the treasure that is the Mandeville Seed Company storage box and display case. I have put my etsy shop cards in the trays and it makes such a great storage spot for them. I love the way you can see each one and the different elevations. What a treasure.....when I wasn't really even looking. You never know what you may find when you go digging, right? How many of you have found great treasures when you least expect?
Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again. Have a great week!!!

Beautiful Fall Weather
Our Fall is moving right along. Very cool temps expected this weekend. I have been busy creating today, Fall seems to be inspiring me. First a Circus card using Graphic 45 paper, Gifted Line stickers, vintage sheet music, and golden dotted swiss ribbon. Thiss card is now in my etsy shop. Stop by for a look.
Next is a sweet card with a pansy flower theme. I used a Crafty Secrets pansy cut out, vintage sheet music, scrunched seam binding, and an epoxy charm embellishment from Webster's Pages.I also have on this card a vintage stamp that came from the Liberty show. It is a purple stamp with Independence Hall and a price of 10 cents. I just love the old-fashioned look of this card. It is also in my etsy shop.

Treasures from Liberty Antique Festival, Liberty, North Carolina
I wanted to show you some treasures I found yesterday at the Liberty Antique Festival. First is a retail seed display case originally from Rochester, N. J.. This would make a great retail card display or maybe for Christmas cards. We will see what I can find for this little treasure.
Next I found a salon wooden case. Not sure how old, I would guess 30-40 years. It made a great organizer for my creative corner. Love it.
Lastly for display I found a 45 Record wire display rack. I am going to use it for extra paper near my work area. I have only a corner and I need to optimize the space for my paper crafting. This helps me keep paper close at hand on my salon case. I had one of these as a child. Who would have ever thought I would replace it?
I found some great old ivory distressed buttons and stamps, some of which have been cancelled and others never used. Now to start to work. Have a great weekend!

Grateful for Friends
For anyone who has ever moved from one state to another or one town to another, you probably left behind good friends. When we left Texas, 20 years ago, I thought, what about all my friends? I learned a valuable lesson, God puts great people everywhere. I am blessed to have made the most special friends in North Carolina. Of course, I still have my "Texas" friends, but all the merrier. I made this gratitude journal for a dear friend of mine in NC. I hope she likes it, she loves acorns and fall. I thought of her when Papertrey Ink came out with the new stamps and die cut sets for August. Acorns and gratitude, two great sets which I am quickly wearing out. Love them. Hope your weekend is a restful one. Enjoy the extended weekend!
P.S. By the way we are going to Hillsville, Virginia tomorrow, with my special friend, to their annual Antique and Flea Market Festival. It is awesome so if you haven't been in a while or ever come on and meet us there. Hillsville is in Southern Virginia and this show is HUGE! No way can you see it all!

A New Bundle of Joy....
A very dear childhood friend of mine just had her 5th grandchild born this week. I made this sweet little card for baby Caden. All is well with Mom and baby and we are thankful. Aren't new babies exciting?
Autumn Blessings
I have for you today an Autumn Blessings card to see. The leaves and acorns are stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink. Just love this set. So ready for fall and cooler temperatures. It is starting with cooler night time temps but so ready for 60 degree daytime weather. Hope it is cooling off wherever you live. Most of the US has had a tough summer.
So many things to be thankful for. I have 3 sons, 2 grandsons, and a loving husband of 37 years. Life couldn't get much better. I am also blessed with a number of great friends. What are you thankful for? Have you thought about it lately?
Be back soon! Take care!

A Hint of Fall is in the Air........
So happy to smell the very beginnings of fall in the air in North Carolina. We survived Irene, she was on the coast and into the Raleigh-Durham area so did not reach us. Hoping that all those affected can rebuild quickly so their lives may return to normal.
I have pictures of some projects I have been working on this weekend. I hope you enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by. Come back soon for more Autumn goodies. Enjoy your day!
