Beautiful Fall Weather

Our Fall is moving right along. Very cool temps expected this weekend. I have been busy creating today, Fall seems to be inspiring me.  First a Circus card using Graphic 45 paper, Gifted Line stickers, vintage sheet music, and golden dotted swiss ribbon.  Thiss card is now in my etsy shop. Stop by for a look.

Next is a sweet card with a pansy flower theme. I used a Crafty Secrets pansy cut out, vintage sheet music, scrunched seam binding, and an epoxy charm embellishment from Webster's Pages.I also have on this card a vintage stamp that came from the Liberty show. It is a purple stamp with Independence Hall and a price of 10 cents.  I just love the old-fashioned look of this card. It is also in my etsy shop.

Treasures from Liberty Antique Festival, Liberty, North Carolina

I wanted to show you some treasures I found yesterday at the Liberty Antique Festival. First is a retail seed display case originally from Rochester, N. J..  This would make a great retail card display or maybe for Christmas cards. We will see what I can find for this little treasure.

Next I found a salon wooden case. Not sure how old, I would guess 30-40 years.  It made a great organizer for my creative corner. Love it.

Lastly for display I found a 45 Record wire display rack. I am going to use it for extra paper near my work area. I have only a corner and I need to optimize the space for my paper crafting. This helps me keep paper close at hand on my salon case. I had one of these as a child.  Who would have ever thought I would replace it?

I found some great old ivory distressed buttons and stamps, some of which have been cancelled and others never used. Now to start to work. Have a great weekend! Pin It

Grateful for Friends

For anyone who has ever moved from one state to another or one town to another, you probably left behind good friends.  When we left Texas, 20 years ago, I thought, what about all my friends? I learned a valuable lesson, God puts great people everywhere. I am blessed to have made the most special friends in North Carolina. Of course, I still have my "Texas" friends, but all the merrier. I made this gratitude journal for a dear friend of mine in NC. I hope she likes it, she loves acorns and fall.   I thought of her when Papertrey Ink came out with the new stamps and die cut sets for August. Acorns and gratitude, two great sets which I am quickly wearing out. Love them. Hope your weekend is a restful one. Enjoy the extended weekend!

P.S. By the way we are going to Hillsville, Virginia tomorrow, with my special friend, to their annual Antique and Flea Market Festival. It is awesome so if you haven't been in a while or ever come on and meet us there. Hillsville is in Southern Virginia and this show is HUGE!  No way can you see it all! Pin It

A New Bundle of Joy....

A very dear childhood friend of mine just had her 5th grandchild born this week. I made this sweet little card for baby Caden. All is well with Mom and baby and we are thankful. Aren't new babies exciting? Pin It

Autumn Blessings

I have for you today an Autumn Blessings card to see.  The leaves and acorns are stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink.  Just love this set. So ready for fall and cooler temperatures. It is starting with cooler night time temps but so ready for 60 degree daytime weather.  Hope it is cooling off wherever you live. Most of the US has had a tough summer.

So many things to be thankful for.  I have 3 sons, 2 grandsons, and a loving husband of 37 years. Life couldn't get much better. I am also blessed with a number of great friends. What are you thankful for? Have you thought about it lately?

Be back soon! Take care! Pin It
